Pelvic floor therapy is a whole-body approach to care that supports your core, breathing, posture, and movement so your pelvic floor can function without pain, leaking, or tension.

At Mountain Mama Pelvic Health, we look beyond just the pelvic floor muscles. Sessions may include functional movement assessment, breathing and pressure management, core and pelvic floor coordination, education, and manual therapy (external and internal only if appropriate and with consent).

Pelvic floor therapy can support pregnancy and postpartum recovery, bladder or bowel concerns, pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, prolapse symptoms, and a safe return to exercise and daily life.

Occupational therapy can help with injuries, overuse, pain, stiffness, weakness, and returning to daily tasks, exercise, and meaningful activities with greater ease and confidence.

Aleta is a pelvic health occupational therapist and founder of Mountain Mama Pelvic Health in Monument, CO. Aleta received her Masters in Science in Occupational Therapy in 2008. She has an extensive background in orthopedics, pain science and body work. She is a certified trauma-informed pelvic health practitioner, and has spent the past several years educating herself in the assessment and treatment of women’s core and pelvic health. She supports women experiencing symptoms of pelvic floor and core dysfunction through transitional times such as pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. She also has a passion for teens with hypermobility, EDS, pelvic pain, and pelvic floor symptoms. Aleta is committed to educating, empowering, and advocating for women to expect better, postpartum. She is a certified Prenatal & Postpartum Exercise Specialist. She practices holistic, functional and client-centered pelvic floor therapy that is truly individualized. She is passionate about normalizing conversations about pelvic and sexual health, and educating and empowering women in our community.

Mountain Mama Pelvic Health, LLC, was created because of her own personal experience with pelvic floor dysfunction post-childbirth, as well as the shared stories of many women in her life. She was inspired to build a practice to support women, centered on empowering an underserved population in our healthcare system through pelvic health education, awareness and treatment.

Aleta loves spending time outdoors with her husband and 3 little kiddos. Besides being a wife, mom and OT, Aleta enjoys hiking, trail biking, yoga, reading, singing and leading worship, and getting outdoors to explore the beautiful Colorado mountains.
